NTSE is considered to be one of the most prestigious National level examinations. It is conducted for the students of Class 10, to identify the talented candidates and award them with scholarships for an entire academic career. The exam is conducted in two-stages: Stage I is regulated and conducted by the State Board and Stage II is conducted by NCERT. Every year more than 9 lakh students register for the scholarship program and appear in Stage I examination but only a few thousand students proceed to Stage II. NTSE Online Registration and Application Form
All the NTSE aspirants are obligated to register themselves for the examination.
1. Visit the official website of NTSE, www.ncert.nic.in
2. Click on the link ‘Apply for NTSE 2019’ (link will be updated right after the official declaration by NCERT)
3. Candidates will have to fill the following credentials:
- Candidate’s Name
- Date of Birth
- Mobile Number
- Email ID
- Education Qualification etc.
4. After filling all the details, click on ‘Submit’
5. Download the NTSE application form
6. Candidates can also get their application form from the Office of Liaison’s officer or their respective schools.

NTSE Admit Card
NTSE Admit card will be made available to you after the official announcement by the concerned authorities. It is mandatory for all the students to carry their admit card in the examination. Students who fail to do so will not be allowed to sit in the examination. The admit card includes all the important details such as Candidate’s Name, Roll Number, Exam Date, Exam centre, Name of State/UT of the Candidate, Examination Timings etc. Make sure to affix a passport size photograph in your admit card. Any student studying in Class X of any recognized school under the State Board is eligible for Stage I examination, provided the student has obtained minimum 60% or more marks in Class IX annual examination. Only those students who manage to obtain the required scores are eligible to appear for the Stage II examination. Students of Indian nationality studying abroad who have obtained at least 60% marks in their previous annual examination are also eligible. However, they are exempted from Stage I examination and are allowed to appear directly in the National level examination.
NTSE Scholarship Details
a) Scholarship of Rs. 1250/- per month for class XI and XII.
b) Scholarship of Rs. 2000/- per month for UG and PG.
c) Scholarship for students pursuing Ph.D in accordance with UGC norms.
