NTSE Syllabus 2019 – 2020

The National Talent Search examination is a prestigious scholarship program introduced by NCERT, Government of India. It aims to identify talented students to provide them financial support for an entire career. The exam is conducted in two stages. Stage I is conducted by States/UTs and Stage 2 is conducted by NCERT.

This year NTSE 2019 Stage 1 is scheduled to be held on 3 November 2019. Before starting the preparation, candidates must have a clear knowledge of NTSE exam pattern as well as NTSE syllabus. The most crucial element during the exam preparation is knowing complete and correct exam syllabus. This is necessary so that candidates can plan their preparation and focus on necessary topics. Before we get into NTSE syllabus, let’s have an overview of NTSE exam pattern

NTSE question paper is divided into two sections:

Mental Ability Test – MAT section is designed to analyze a candidate’s ability to think, judge, evaluate, differentiate, and power of reasoning. MAT questions are based on topics such as analogies, series, patterns, coding-decoding, classification, etc.

Scholastic Ability Test – SAT section is designed to test a candidate’s academics knowledge. This section comprises of Maths, Science, and Social Science.
